David Goodman, Principal
David R. Goodman, Vice President of the Manager, ISE Board Member
and current holder of ISE Series A Preferred Stock and ISE Warrants, is
the former Chairman and CEO of United American Energy Corp. Mr. Goodman
is a 31-year participant in the power generation and construction industries. He
formed United American Hydropower Group in 1980, which subsequently became
United American Energy Corp. (“UAE”) in 1983. Between
1980 and the time of its sale in December 2003 UAE operated and/or owned
interests in 22 power
plants, aggregating over 895 MW of capacity and sited in Maine, Massachusetts,
Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, California and Virginia. UAE has both
developed and built projects and acquired power plants from other owners
using various kinds of fuels including hydroelectric, gas, coal and waste
fuel products such as waste rice hulls and municipal solid waste.
Prior to UAE, Mr. Goodman was employed for seven years by Grow Tunneling Corp., a leader in constructing large municipal underground public works projects. He served as Field and then Project Engineer and Business Manager on the New York City Water Tunnel, one of the largest public works infrastructure projects in the country. Among other tasks, he was responsible for the utility and power infrastructure, which was the largest of its type for any construction project in New York City. He was also Project Manager for construction work on the Atlanta Airport River Diversion tunnel, Atlanta, Georgia and numerous other underground projects.
Mr. Goodman earned a B.S., (Civil Engineering) from Antioch College in 1969
and an M.B.A. from Stanford University in 1971. He is a member of the
American Society of Civil Engineers, member of the Moles, former president
of the New York Alliance for Hydroelectric Energy, former director of the
National Hydropower Association, member and director of the Electric Power
Supply Association and member of the New York Independent Power Producers
Association. He has written and lectured on all aspects of independent
energy financing, project financing, power contracts and remediation of distressed
independent power projects. |
